As with many of my recipes, I teased this one on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/foodwithfeeling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my Instagram stories<\/a> last week and promised that I would get it posted in time for Cinco de Mayo! I even shared it early with a few people who asked for the recipe and some have made it already ?? Everyone gave it raving reviews so I&rsquo;m super excited for you to try it as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quite a few years ago, I posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/foodwithfeeling.com\/vegan-burrito-bowl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chipotle Inspired Burrito Bowl<\/a> which I&rsquo;ve made often. However, I REALLY wanted to master the Chipotle Sofritas at home and I&rsquo;m SO happy that I&rsquo;ve finally done that and the flavor is incredible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/foodwithfeeling.com\/copycat-chipotle-sofritas-recipe\/?tp_image_id=13771\" src=\"https:\/\/foodwithfeeling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/chipotle-sofritas-12-600x900.jpg\" alt=\"up close side angel shot of sofritas in a skillet with a spoonful being taken out\" class=\"wp-image-13771\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/foodwithfeeling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/chipotle-sofritas-12.jpg\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Sofritas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I kind of assume that if you&rsquo;re here, you&rsquo;ve tried the Sofritas as Chipotle at least once. However, if you have not, I&rsquo;ll break it down for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofritas is chunks of firm tofu that have been cooked in a really delicious pepper sauce. Make sure to press it first; I have a full guide on prepping tofu <a href=\"https:\/\/foodwithfeeling.com\/how-to-press-tofu-with-without-a-tofu-press\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce<\/strong>: I&rsquo;ve already had several people ask me where to find this. I&rsquo;ve always been able to find cans of this at everyday grocery stores and it&rsquo;s typically in the Latin American\/ Hispanic section. THAT&rsquo;S IT!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Serving suggestions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I almost always enjoy this sofritas tofu in a burrito bowl with rice, black or pinto beans, roma tomatoes, cilantro, corn, guacamole, and a bit of fresh lime juice.
